Lower Risks with Acupuncture

One of the advantages of acupuncture is that the incidence of adverse effect is substantially lower than that of many drugs or other accepted medical procedures used for the same conditions."

Benefits of Acupuncture

Picture
Acupuncture is helpful for many concerns including those of the body, mind, and spirit.  It has been found effective for severe chronic conditions even when pinpointing the cause has been difficult to determine.  Those who receive ongoing treatment for maintenance and the promotion of good health have reported that they:tend to get sick less often and recover more quickly
  • have improved stamina and vitality
  • experience more peace in their lives
  • are better managers of their own health
  • see reductions in long-term health care costs and tend to visit physicians less often
  • enjoy deepened and more harmonious relationships with others
Benefits of Treatment

This is a different experience than most medical providers - you are not spending the majority of your hour(s) waiting for 5 minutes with the practitioner.     You will be the center of attention as we ask questions and consider the type of treatment that would best help you in your life, with your own goals and concerns, in a highly individual way. Many people find the level of care and deep listening to be very healing, even before we start any kind of needle treatment.

The benefit of the course of treatment can be life-changing, even if you don't have any physical concerns. Acupuncture affects a person on all levels - body, mind/emotion, and spirit. In my own experience, in all of my several years of acupuncture, most of my treatments have been on the spirit level, in dealing with the grief of losing my mother and her long illness.

You do not have to have symptoms or be sick to benefit from acupuncture.   Acupuncture has a calming and relaxing effect on the body, mind, and spirit.  If you are suffering from mania, worry, grief, fear, or anger, consider making an appointment to allow balancing and calming these emotions, which can produce disease in the body if unchecked over time.

If  you do experience pain or  chronic illness, consider acupuncture as a complementary treatment to your physician's medical care.     There is a lot of research that shows that acupuncture is effective for various ailments.  Click here to see some links to research that has been done.

Acupuncture can treat any condition that makes you feel off-balance or unwell, because what it does best of all is rebalance you and stimulates your own healing processes.
Acupuncture is the most cost-effective way to feel better.

How often do I need to come?

Picture
  • For most healthy people, a series of 10 weekly appointments is the most optimal for you to experience the highest benefits of acupuncture.
  • If you have been injured or chronically ill, you may need to see me two to three times weekly for several months to experience the most profound healing.
